Programme

Wednesday 15th - Saturday 18th April 2026

A detailed event programme will be published closer to the event. Currently, we are planning to feature:

• Welcome reception in the evening of Wednesday 15th April to meet the other early-career photobiologists attending the event.
• Keynote talks from early-career & established research leaders throughout Thursday 16^th, Friday 17^th and Saturday 18^th April.
• ECR oral and poster presentations, with prizes to celebrate outstanding science communication.
• Social activities including a walking tour, a ceilidh and an organised symposium dinner to provide opportunities to get to know each other better while exploring the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

Want to present at YRSPP 2026?

Attendees are encouraged to apply to present a poster and/or oral presentation at the event, to showcase your research and discuss your findings with peers. Further details about applying will be published closer to the event. To protect and encourage sharing of unpublished work, photography of posters or presentation material will not be allowed.

There will be prizes and certificates awarded for the best poster and best presentation, to encourage and recognise excellence in engaging, accessible science communication.

Registration & abstract submissions will open in mid to late 2025.
