What YRSPP can achieve with your support:
Our goal is to secure enough funding for YRSPP 2026 to be free for ECRs to attend, so that it is as accessible as possible for young researchers with limited access to funding. We're currently seeking financial and in-kind contributions towards the following, with a target total of roughly £12-15,000 for the whole symposium.
Keynote speaker costs
35% of budget – Covering hotels and travel costs to enable six keynote speakers to attend YRSPP 2026.
Symposium catering
35% - Providing nutritious lunches and tea/coffee to fuel 60 people over three days of presentations.
Networking opportunities
20% - Organising a welcome reception, evening meal, and small traditional Scottish ceilidh to spark the conversations that lead to lifelong collaborations.
Presentation prizes & keynote gifts
5% - Encouraging attendees to prepare high-quality presentations, and thanking our keynote speakers for their time. Sponsor or provide a prize/gift of your choosing!
Event management & materials
5% - Printing costs, insurance, attendee materials (lanyards, notebooks, etc). A great opportunity to feature your brand on symposium materials.
